This website provides general educational information about movement disorder surgery and a way to request an appointment. It does not provide medical advice and is not a substitute for evaluation by a physician. Surgery for movement disorders is decided by a multidisciplinary team after medical therapy has been optimized; it controls symptoms but does not cure the underlying disease. In an emergency, call 911. Requesting an appointment does not by itself establish care; a clinician-patient relationship begins at your scheduled visit.
